Proud Moment for Our Community
A Proud Moment for Our Community!
Thank you to everyone who showed up at the library tonight, braving the rain and cold to advocate for our historic landmark and community. Your presence demonstrated that we won’t back down on protecting our environment, history, integrity, and safety. There is no doubt this is a UNITED front.
Now, let’s keep the momentum going!
It’s crucial that everyone emails or writes a statement/letter to the Board of Supervisors to express their concerns. Emails /letters go on public record, and the board tallies responses (opposed and in favor). It takes 3 of 5 board members to approve the zoning change.
For reference, in the Wood Haven development case, Ms. Hooker (Catawba representative) voted against the change based on her constituents’ wishes. However, the other four members voted in favor. Our representative, Mr. Radford, could do the same for the Poage Farm zoning change, so let’s ensure the board hears from concerned residents in record volume.
